How to arrive to Palestrina

Palestrina is 37 kilometres from Rome, and is easily reachable by public transport or in your own car.

By car

  • If driving from Rome, take the highway A24 "Rome-L'Aquila-Teramo" and exit at "Tivoli", then continue along the provincial highway SP n° 16 "Via Prenestina" towards Zagarolo. Follow it all the way until to reach Palestrina;
  • If driving from Rome, take the highway A1 "Rome-Naples" and exit at "San Cesareo". Follow the state highway until to reach Palestrina;
  • If driving from Naples, take the highway A1 "Rome-Naples" and exit at "Valmontone". Follow the state highway until to reach Palestrina.

By bus

Palestrina is connected with Rome by the CO.TRA.L bus service (the regional transport consortium). The terminus in Rome is "Anagnina", in connection with the stop of the Underground - line A.

By train

Rome Termini station you go by train toward Rome - Cassino line and get off at Zagarolo, where, once you arrive there, you must go with CO.TRA.L bus service until Palestrina.
